Commentary/review

A nice guide, suitable even for the audiobook formula. Fun anecdotes read by the Author. Rather for beginner dog trainers (thus, perfect for me). It explains the most common dog characteristics and some of the problems dogs may pose. It is not breed-specific and emphasizes adoption from a shelter (an option I am about to choose, now in 2023). The book discusses how to teach dogs the 7 main commands and explains problems owners commonly have with their dogs. The guide is composed by an expert and was professionally edited.

The book is also easy to follow and commit to memory. Only a few times I needed to check a reference in Google images, to be able to visualize the methods and techniques. I would certainly recommend this nice, short guide, to any dog owner – and especially to someone about to choose a dog. It is very useful to know more about the common characteristics of certain breeds before making a decision to adopt a dog.
