Commentary/review
Sarah Orne Jewett was a 19th century writer located in Maine. These short stories have the ability to transport the readers in time without compromising their modern sensibilities. I liked the rendition and the sleepy ambience. Although most of the stories are about women, one deals with male career and retirement, with some very observations. There is some feminism there too, although very reader-friendly. Generally a great read.

A very pretty and elegant cover, mostly light green.
