Commentary/review

A classic production about avalanches, rescue missions and court hearings. It is entertaining and informative. It strikes a potent tone in the dialogues, the world is depicted by the characters and the scenes are painted in a dramatic fashion. I have a feeling that the reading of novels about achievers can do anyone more good than dwelling in the sad meditations of the more intellectual writers. In envy the skill of the Author and wish more people could write in this no-nonsense style.

This audiobook is brilliantly read and rendered by Paul Tyreman. The narration is stylish, intelligent and very focused. The made-up Māori names still ring in my head…

Beautiful cover which perfectly shows the title, the popularity of the book and the subject matter. All is bold, and colorful, and attractive, and serious.
