Commentary/review

A masterpiece. Very beautiful, eons past any creative discovery, in another league entirely.

Situated within a single, equal relationship between granddaughter and grandmother. Both characters strong women, although dependent on their age. A well-loved island summerhouse and its surroundings in the background. Something to read repeatedly, on long winter nights.

Amazing performance by Julie Walters.

The entire series of Egmont covers for Tove Jansson for adults are great. A bit IKEA-aesthetic, perhaps that is the reason.
