Commentary/review

I wonder if the big publishers refused to take this gem on or what happened there. The big houses should be losing their minds over it. It has an intense but almost credible back story, extravagant and fresh LGBTQ+ elements, vibrant secondary characters, a picturesque scenery and a good pace. Nothing more is required from a weekend read. I am looking forward to reading the next parts in the Shropshire Mysteries.

While the writing is mature, original and well-executed, the narration is fully professional. I read here that the author is a voice coach but it really does not explain the level shown in this production. Perhaps the Polish accent needs some polishing but is not entirely bad (does not sound Russian, for instance). First class voice acting.

A very good cover for a lesser known publishing house. Great colours, great contrast, very neat.
