Commentary/review
A fascinating and possibly a groundbreaking take on human health. I do not claim to understand everything Katy Bowman wrote in her book: it is packed with hard-earned knowledge. Although I cannot endorse anything written there as an expert, I can claim that what I have already taken to the test seems true.
The main gist of the book is that humans of today live unhealthy lives in unhealthy environments that resemble zooz. Empowerment lies in understanding what the human body needs for a contented existence. The change requires a few props (pebbles, physio balls) and a lot small decisions aimed to stay away from comfort as much as possible. The result is a more relaxed body that is happy where it is, ready for almost everything. For a training athlete, professional or amateur, the book is a blessing. Many intuitions athletes often have are now confirmed in one place. However, it is not the practical aspects but the underlying philosophy of “Move Your DNA” that holds the most value. The shift in perspective is intentional, well though-through and clearly articulated from title to finish. The Author wants her readers to actualise their inherited human potential.
The Author read her book proficiently, with humor and humanity. Among books read by authors, this production stands out as a good example.

A super simple cover that is nevertheless perfect for the purpose.
