Commentary/review

A classic history book about the class struggle and the disturbing cruelty of discrimination against the freedom of thought enforced by institutionalized religion. The book will make you angry even if you already knew a little bit about inquisition. The details of the trial will boil the blood in the most restrained of lawyers. It is probably the best history book I have read so far.

I did not like the performance nor the lector. The accent is aggressively American, Italian and French fragments sound strained. There are other renditions, perhaps it is better to try them rather than this one.

The Cheese and the Worms audiobook cover

I like this cover very much. It reminds of video game aesthetics, yet it is somehow fitting. The title is not exactly an easy one to illustrate. .
